The variety has moderate vigor and is characterized by late bud break. Clusters are predominantly medium or large in size, conical in shape, and of moderate density. Berries are medium, round or ellipsoid, with thick skin; black, white, gray, and pink varieties occur.

The plant is well adapted to hot climatic conditions and moisture deficit, but is sensitive to severe frosts and prone to coulure. Resistance to powdery mildew is low; to downy mildew and gray mold — medium. The variety is considered rare and is genetically related to the Cinsaut variety.
