Rivairenc gris, also known as Aspiran gris, is a color mutation of the Rivairenc group. Genetically, the variety is related to the Cinsaut variety. The plant is characterized by large clusters and berries with grey skin at maturity.

The variety belongs to the late-ripening maturity group. Yield is low. The vine possesses high sensitivity to fungal infections, such as powdery mildew, downy mildew and botrytis, and is also susceptible to frost damage.

The grapes are used for winemaking, producing light wines with a neutral taste and low sugar levels. Currently, the variety is considered rare and is grown in limited areas in the south of France.
