The variety is the result of breeding work and is a hybrid form obtained by crossing the varieties Cabernet Sauvignon and Saint Laurent. It belongs to the group of mid-late varieties and is used exclusively in winemaking.

Wines from this variety are distinguished by their deep color and the presence of notes of red paprika, blackberry, cherry, and spices. The drinks are characterized by full body and the presence of soft, silky tannins. The variety is grown on experimental plots and demonstrates good adaptability to the local soil conditions of the Rheinhessen region.
