Albillo dorado is an independent variety that is genetically different from other Albillo group varieties, such as Albillo Real and Albillo Mayor. It is classified as a minor variety characteristic of the Manchuela wine region in Spain.
The variety is used for the production of white wines and possesses high varietal aromatic potential. Under climate change conditions, it demonstrates potential for adaptation to high temperatures and drought. The botanical description of the variety's characteristics is limited, as major scientific studies focus on its genetic identification and the chemical composition of the resulting wines.
