The variety has high vigor and provides consistently high yields. Clusters are medium-sized, pyramidal in shape, and high in density. Berries are small, round, blue-black in color with thick skin, which provides resistance to downy mildew and grey mold.
The plant prefers dry, well-lit limestone sites on hills. Due to the density of the cluster, the variety requires good aeration. Wines from this variety are characterized by high sugar, anthocyanin, and polyphenol content, as well as distinct aromas of dark berries and spices.
