Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety belongs to the late maturity group. The plant has high vigor and stable yield. The leaves are pentagonal, 5–7-lobed with deep sinuses. The clusters are medium, weighing 250–300 g, cylindro-conical or conical, of moderate density.

The berries are small, round-shaped, dark blue with a thick waxy bloom, thick skin, and juicy flesh. The variety is resistant to low temperatures, has medium susceptibility to downy mildew, and is prone to ovary shedding under unfavorable weather conditions during the spring period.

It is used primarily in winemaking as a component of blends to improve color, soften taste, and adjust acidity, particularly in Lambrusco wines. Due to the high concentration of coloring pigments, it is also used in the production of grape concentrate.
