Chardonnay is a wine grape variety intended for the production of a wide range of white wines, from still to sparkling. The plant has high vigor and the ability to adapt to various climatic conditions and soil types.

The variety belongs to the mid-season maturity group. The plant shows resistance to downy mildew, but is sensitive to the effects of powdery mildew, botrytis bunch rot, and spring frosts.
