The variety is a breeding form of the variety Chrupka bílá (Chasselas or Gutedel). In the international classification, it is known under the code VIVC 2473 and belongs to the species Vitis vinifera L. The variety is intended for table use.

From the original form Chrupka bílá, the variety differs morphologically by a less deeply dissected leaf and later ripening periods of the fruits. In general, the Chrupka group is characterized by moderate resistance to fungal diseases, frost, as well as a tendency to drop ovaries under unfavorable weather conditions.
