The variety is historical and widely distributed in Europe, known by a multitude of synonyms, including Chasselas Doré, Gutedel and Szasła. It is a dessert table variety, representing a fast-growing vine reaching a height of 2 to 5 meters depending on training.

The ripening period of the berries falls in September. The clusters are of medium size with a mass of about 150 g, and the berries are yellow-green or golden in color. The variety possesses moderate winter hardiness of about -21°C and requires covering for the winter, as well as prevention of fungal diseases, in particular downy mildew.
