Liatiko is an early-ripening variety whose name is associated with the July ripening period. The vine has high vigor and productivity, while demonstrating strong drought tolerance. The variety is sensitive to fungal infections, particularly powdery mildew.
The berries have thin black skins, but due to the low concentration of anthocyanins, wines made from it are characterized by a translucent color. The flavor profile includes notes of red fruits, herbs, spices, and, upon aging, leather and dried fruits. The variety is characterized by good acidity and soft tannins.
