The vine has moderate to low vigor. Young leaves are light green with bronze spots; mature leaves are small, round, five-lobed, with a blistered, curled blade. Clusters and berries are small, the latter having a round shape and aromatic flavor. The variety is characterized by low susceptibility to gray mold.
This wine variety is intended for creating wines with pronounced aromatics. At full maturity, the wine has sufficient strength, although it may have reduced acidity. The variety is used in winemaking in certain regions of France, particularly in Bordeaux, as part of adaptation to climate change.
