Late-ripening variety with moderate vine growth. The leaf is large, five-lobed, deeply dissected. Clusters are medium-sized, dense, cylindrical in shape. Berries are medium-sized, round, dark blue, almost black in color.
The variety is distinguished by high drought tolerance but is susceptible to downy mildew and gray mold. Characterized as a high-yielding variety. Wines from Limnio possess an intense color, moderate acidity, and are often used in blends with Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc varieties.
