Variety description

The variety is intended exclusively for use as a rootstock in grapevine grafting and is not used for wine production or human consumption. It is a low-vigor rootstock, providing the scion with a growth vigor intermediate between 161-49 Couderc and SO4.

The plant possesses high resistance to the root and leaf forms of phylloxera, comparable to the Börner variety. The rootstock is characterized by good tolerance to active lime in the soil and high drought tolerance.
