The variety is of East Mediterranean origin and is characterized by moderate vine vigor. Clusters are of medium size, usually cylindrical or cylindrical-conical in shape. Berries are small, round, with thin skin, turning a yellowish-golden color when ripe.
The ripening period is early or mid-season. The variety is sensitive to fungal diseases, especially powdery mildew and gray mold, and is susceptible to spring frosts. It requires warm and sunny conditions for high-quality ripening.
It is distinguished by a high potential for sugar accumulation with balanced acidity. The pulp is tender and juicy, possessing an intense muscat aroma. The variety is versatile: it is used for the production of dry, dessert, fortified, and sparkling wines, and is also consumed fresh.
