The variety is a natural variation of the Muscat family originating from Greece. The plant is characterized by medium vigor. Clusters and berries are medium-sized; upon ripening, the berry skin acquires a characteristic pink or reddish hue.
The variety belongs to the early to mid-season maturity group. It is characterized by susceptibility to powdery mildew, downy mildew, grey mold, and a number of pests. It has limited distribution, which makes the availability of certified planting material extremely low.
A wine variety distinguished by an intense aroma and a high sugar level. It is used for producing white, rosé, and dessert wines with a balance between sugar and acidity.
