The variety is a complex interspecific hybrid obtained by crossing Vitis amurensis, Vitis vinifera, and the Irsai Olivér variety. In terms of maturity, it is classified as mid-late.

The plant possesses high frost resistance and belongs to the category of resistant varieties suitable for integrated viticulture. The leaf is medium-sized, pentagonal, and three-lobed.

The grapes are used for the production of red wines characterized by deep color, spicy aroma, and refined acidity characteristics. The main commercial plantings of the variety are located in the Hungarian wine region of Kunság.
