The variety is a natural genetic mutation of the white grape Xarel·lo (Pansa Blanca) and is traditionally grown in northeastern Spain, primarily in the Catalonia region. The berries of the variety have a pink or reddish hue, and their skin is characterized by significant thickness, which provides natural protection against diseases.
A wine variety used for the production of rosé and sparkling wines, including Cava. The wines possess good acidity and freshness with medium body, distinguished by a color palette ranging from yellow-orange to deep salmon.
