The Pardillo variety, also known as Marisancho, is a white wine grape variety. It is genetically related to the Coloraíllo variety and has many synonyms, such as Blanca Pequeña, Parda, Pardilla, and Verdegudillo. Modern ampelographic studies confirm its status as an independent variety, distinct from the Pardina and Cayetana Blanca varieties.
Wines from this variety possess medium body and fresh acidity. Their aromatic profile may include notes of citrus, yellow apple, quince, almond, and Mediterranean herbs, although descriptions of wines with neutral taste characteristics also occur. The variety is well-adapted to the continental climate of central Spain, which is characterized by high temperatures and sharp temperature fluctuations.
