The Papadiko N variety is a wine grape variety, although in certain regions, such as the island of Ithaca, the fruits can be used as table grapes. The name of the variety is associated with the color of the clothing of Greek clergy, and the letter designation N indicates the dark color of the berry skin.
The plant belongs to low-growing species. The variety is one of the 16 native grape species of Ithaca. In scientific studies of the phenolic composition of Greek wines, the variety is mentioned in the context of studying the content of anthocyanins and other chemical compounds.
