The plant is vigorous with a vertical or semi-vertical habit. Leaves are medium-sized, round or slightly pentagonal, weakly lobed. Bunches are small or medium, cylindro-conical in shape, medium density or dense. Berries are medium or small in size, round, white-colored with a waxy bloom.
The variety is of an early maturity group, possesses good resistance to downy mildew and powdery mildew, however, it is sensitive to drought and is not resistant to severe frosts. Wines from Pecorino are distinguished by high acidity, full body, aging potential, and characteristic floral-fruity aromas.
