The Pegazus variety is a table grape bred in Budapest as part of a breeding program. The goal of creating the variety was to obtain a plant resistant to the main diseases of the crop.

The plant possesses resistance to downy mildew (Plasmopara viticola) and grey mold (Botrytis cinerea). The variety also demonstrates higher resistance to low winter temperatures in comparison with classic Vitis vinifera varieties.
