The variety belongs to the species Vitis vinifera and is grown predominantly on Mallorca. In winemaking, it is recognized as an authorized variety in a number of zones, such as DOP Binissalem. Synonyms include the names Moll, Prensal, Premsal, Premsal Blanca, and Prensal Blanc.

When cultivating this grape, traditional vine training systems are used, such as 'gobelet' or 'Guyot'. Wines produced from this variety are characterized as aromatic and structured, with pronounced varietal characteristics and a possible slight bitterness in the taste.
