The variety belongs to the species Vitis vinifera. The letter "B." in the name indicates the white, yellow-green color of the berry skin. The use of this variety is permitted in accordance with the regulations for the production of wines with protected designation of origin (DOP/IGP) and certain categories of sparkling wines.

The variety is included in scientific research on biodiversity in the Italian regions of Veneto and Trentino-Alto Adige, where its genetic identification and ampelographic description were carried out. Detailed agronomic characteristics, such as ripening dates and disease resistance, are not available in open sources.
