The variety is the result of crossing Seibel 8724 and Plantet, containing genes of Vitis labrusca, V. lincecumii, V. riparia, V. rupestris, and V. vinifera. Maturity group is early or early-mid. Clusters are small to medium, elongated-cylindrical in shape, and winged. Berries are small, round, white with a pinkish hue; flesh is fleshy.

The variety is resistant to downy mildew, but has insufficient resistance to powdery mildew, gray mold, anthracnose, and phylloxera. Yield is low. Wines from this variety are characterized as fragrant, with caramel notes and good alcohol content, but are prone to rapid oxidation and have a specific aroma.
