Variety description

The variety is a hybrid of Blauburger and Klosterneuburg 1189-9-77. Maturity is medium, shoots have medium vigor. The leaf is medium-sized, pentagonal or wedge-shaped, five-lobed with an open lyre-shaped petiole sinus.

Clusters are medium-sized, cylindrical, medium-density, often with a wing. Berries are small, about 2 g, round or oval, dark blue in color with a heavy bloom. The variety is prone to flower abortion and millerandage, especially under dry conditions.

The variety withstands winter frosts down to -25 °C and possesses partial resistance to downy mildew, powdery mildew, and grey mold. Wines are characterized by deep color, full body, high tannin and extract content, and are often used in blends.
