The variety was discovered around 1900 by Clotar Bouvier near Gornja Radgona. Genetically, it is a natural hybrid of the Pinot variety and an unknown variety, possibly Muscat Blanc à Petits Grains. It belongs to the very early ripening category.

The leaf is medium, five- or seven-lobed, deeply incised. The flower is hermaphroditic. The bunch is small, cylindrical or cylindro-conical, often branched, medium-dense. The berry is small or medium, light green in color.

The variety has good frost resistance and a medium degree of susceptibility to fungal diseases. Yield is medium. Wines from this variety are characterized by a golden-yellow color, mild taste with moderate acidity, and a muscat aroma.
