The Reform variety appeared in research conducted by the Research Institute of Horticulture in Poland as part of variety collections for studying yield parameters, winter hardiness, and susceptibility to fungal diseases.

The berries of the variety ripen relatively early, starting from the second half of August. Comparative frost resistance studies under Central Polish conditions showed that this variety is less resistant to extremely low temperatures compared to a number of other varieties.
