The variety is classified as early-ripening, has a short growing season, and matures in the first half of September. The plant is characterized by vigorous growth but forms a sparse canopy. The average bunch weight is about 140 g.

The variety is high-yielding, but extremely susceptible to rot and possesses medium to low frost resistance. The wines are distinguished by a spicy taste and aroma, softness, and low acidity (6–7 g/l), and are often produced using reductive technology.
