The variety is the result of breeding work in Hungary, conducted at the Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences. The clone is officially included in the National Variety List of Hungary and is approved for propagation within the territory of the European Union.

This grape belongs to the category of wine grape varieties. Like the original Müller-Thurgau variety, it is used for producing white wines.
