Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety was bred in 1937 by the breeder Giovanni Dalmasso in Conegliano (Italy). Genetic studies have confirmed its origin from the crossing of Barbera and Chatus. It is also known by the synonyms Dalmasso 4-31 and Incrocio Dalmasso IV/31.

The plant belongs to wine varieties and is characterized by resistance to fungal diseases. Currently, it is cultivated mainly in the Piedmont region, although the planting areas show a downward trend.
