The Russian hybrid form "Sokol" was obtained by crossing the varieties "Talisman" and "Gibrid 41". The vine is vigorous, the flower is bisexual. The variety is of extra-early maturity, forming large clusters weighing 600–800 g. The berries are large, elongated in shape, and dark red in color. Frost resistance is up to -23°C, and disease resistance is estimated at a level of 3.0–3.5 points.
The Croatian indigenous variety "Sokol" has been known in the Zagorje region since the 17th century. It was traditionally used as a table grape with thick skin, as well as for wine production. At present, the variety is rare and is in the process of revival.
