The variety is autochthonous to Andalusia, specifically the Condado de Huelva region. Genetically, the variety originated from the natural cross-breeding of the Hebén variety and an unknown parent variety.

The plant possesses high yield and good adaptability to climatic conditions, demonstrating high drought tolerance. Bunches are characterized by large size and compactness; berries are of medium or large size, have a yellow-green color, and skin of medium thickness.

The variety is used in winemaking to create young dry wines with a fruit-floral aroma, as well as for the production of aged and fortified wines. When production technologies are violated, wines from this variety are prone to rapid oxidation.
