The variety, known as Sremska zelenika, is a natural hybrid of the Purcin and Frankusha varieties. The plant has strong growth and hermaphrodite flowers; leaves are medium-sized, round, five-lobed, deeply incised, dark green with dense pubescence on the underside.
Bunches are medium-sized, cylindrical or cylindrical-conical in shape, often winged, very dense. Berries are medium-sized, slightly oval, dark green in color with thin skin and juicy flesh. The variety is sensitive to frost and gray mold infection.
This grape belongs to wine varieties and is used for the production of wines with pronounced acidity, often in blends.
