The variety is a medium-vigor plant with lobed leaves, serrated at the edges. Clusters are characterized as medium-sized, conical and compact, with medium-sized, round berries of a yellow-green color.

The variety belongs to the early ripening group, maturing 4–6 weeks earlier than Furmint, usually in the second half of September. The plant is sensitive to downy mildew and powdery mildew and requires regular green operations due to a tendency for active formation of shoots and suckers. Drought tolerance is medium.

It is used primarily for blending and creating Aszú-type wines, as it is susceptible to noble rot, Botrytis cinerea. Finished wines are characterized by full-bodiedness, balanced acidity, and notes of dried fruits and orange peel.
