The variety is a product of breeding carried out in the Hungarian region of Badacsony. Ezerjó was used as one of the parent forms in the creation of the variety, which determines the high acidity of the berries.
The grape belongs to wine varieties and is used for the production of white wines with pronounced acidity. The variety is characterized by high yield and is capable of well conveying the terroir characteristics of the Badacsony region. The main plantings are concentrated in the vicinity of Lake Balaton and in the Somló wine region.
