The variety has moderate resistance to winter frosts and exhibits susceptibility to Botrytis cinerea. The berries are predominantly round in shape and have a sufficiently thick skin.
This variety is used in winemaking to create full-bodied white wines, including late-harvest dessert wines. Wines from Zengő are characterized by good acidity, a creamy texture, and an aromatic profile with notes of quince, pepper, mango, pineapple, and baked pear.
