Leaves of the variety are medium-sized, five-lobed, slightly dissected, with pubescence on the underside. Large bunches consist of medium-sized berries, oval or ellipsoidal in shape, with thin skin and juicy pulp. Berry color ranges from light green to yellowish.
The variety possesses high resistance to drought and heat. Wines from Xynisteri are characterized by freshness and moderate alcohol content; their aromatics are dominated by notes of citrus, green apple, peach, white plum, as well as floral and mineral undertones.
