The variety Xerichi kokkino (Xerichi kokkino N) belongs to the species Vitis vinifera L. Its origin is linked to Lebanon. The variety is not related to Xeromacherouda, but acts as a direct ancestor of the Ladikino variety.
The plant is universal in purpose, has hermaphrodite flowers and dark berry skin. The variety is known by a multitude of synonyms, including Assouad Karech, Kserikhi, Seriki and Syriki.
