The yield of hulless oat is a quantitative trait that is on average 25% lower than that of husked varieties due to the absence of floral husks and a lower 1000-grain weight.

The productivity potential of modern hulless oat varieties is estimated at 5.5–6.0 t/ha. Under production conditions, figures vary depending on the year's conditions: in stressful situations, the yield is 2.9–3.2 t/ha, whereas under favorable conditions it reaches 3.8–4.8 t/ha with recorded maximums of up to 5.9 t/ha.

This trait is closely related to yield components, including productive tillering, number of spikelets and grains per panicle, and 1000-grain weight. Agrotechnical factors, particularly sowing dates, nitrogen fertilizer application rates, and weed infestation levels, have a significant influence on the realization of this potential.

A specific feature of the crop is the tendency to form small grains and the phenomenon of "grain abortion" (empty glumes), which negatively affects the final harvested crop weight. This crop is evaluated according to the state variety testing methodology at a standard grain moisture content of 14%.
