The plant is vigorous, reaching 60–70 cm in containers and 100–120 cm in open field. The ripening period is 70–80 days. The fruits have a conical shape, a length of 6–10 cm, and are characterized by juiciness and fleshiness. A reticulated corky appearance often develops on the skin.
The variety is hardy and high-yielding. The hybrid «El Jefe F1» has resistance to PVY, TEV viruses, and bacterial spot (races 1–3, 7, 8). The use of the fruits is universal: from fresh consumption and stuffing to drying and pickling.
