The variety is a clonal variant of the traditional Saaz hop. In the chemical composition of the cones, the content of alpha acids varies within 2.5–6.0%, beta acids — 4.0–6.0%, and total resins — 13–20%. The aroma is characterized as fine and true-to-type hop.

The breeding material was tested for the presence of viruses, including the apple mosaic virus. Despite the breeding work performed, the variety did not gain wide distribution in production practice, lagging in acreage behind the traditional Osvald clones.
