Variety description

The variety is vigorous and productive. Its medium or large fruits have a spherical, slightly ribbed shape. The skin is smooth, greenish-yellow in color with red stripes and grey russeting. The white or yellowish flesh has a firm, crisp texture that becomes more tender over time.

The taste of the fruits is sweet and aromatic with hints of vanilla and a possible slight acidity. Due to their ability to maintain shape during heat treatment, the apples are used for making jams and culinary dishes, as well as for fresh consumption. The variety is a good pollinator for other late-maturing apple varieties.

The fruits are distinguished by outstanding keeping quality: in traditional conditions, they can maintain their qualities until the beginning of summer. The variety is traditionally cultivated in the southeastern region of France.
