The variety is local and distributed in Northern France and Wallonia. The fruits are large, over 80 mm in diameter, round or round-conical, and often flattened in shape. The primary skin color is green-yellow; upon ripening, a streaky red blush appears on 10–60% of the surface, and there is a waxy bloom.

The flesh is juicy, with acid dominating over sugar and a faint aroma. It belongs to summer varieties with a harvest period in July–August. The fruits do not store long, until September, and are sensitive to mechanical damage. The plant is diploid, noted as rustic, and resistant to scab and spring frosts.
