The variety is an industrial type intended exclusively for cider production. Due to its characteristics, it is used in blends to create soft and rounded drinks characteristic of the Pays d'Auge region.

The variety is adapted to the climatic conditions of Normandy and possesses natural resistance to local diseases. Detailed morphological descriptions of the tree are unavailable as the variety belongs to the local cultural heritage.
