The variety is a historical cultivar known in Europe since the 16th–17th centuries. The tree is vigorous and long-lived, forming a broad, rounded crown. The variety is characterized by high winter hardiness of the wood and flowers, as well as wind resistance and low demands on growing conditions.

The fruits are of medium to large size and have a flat-round shape. The skin is smooth, yellow in color with a red striped blush or marbled pattern. The flesh is greenish-white, juicy, with a wine-sweet-and-sour taste. The period of consumption maturity lasts from January to May–June.

The variety belongs to the winter group; harvesting is carried out in October. The produce has a versatile use and is suitable for fresh consumption, culinary purposes, drying, as well as the preparation of juices and cider due to its high keeping quality.
