The rootstock belongs to the dwarfing group, providing a tree size of about 40–50% of a seedling rootstock, which is larger than M9 but more compact than M26. The root system requires mandatory installation of supports or trellises, especially in the initial stages of tree development.
It is characterized by high resistance to Phytophthoraroot rot, good tolerance to replant conditions, and acceptable resistance to fire blight. It possesses higher winter hardiness compared to the M9 rootstock.
