The variety Gala 2013 is a mutation (sport) of the original Gala variety. A key feature is the high speed and intensity of fruit coloring: a solid purple-red blush appears as early as 30 days before harvest.
A characteristic trait is the red coloring of the receptacle during full bloom, as well as the acquisition of a red color by young fruits 40 days after flowering. The variety is intended for dessert use and has ripening dates corresponding to the Gala variety type.
