The G 214 rootstock was obtained as a result of crossing the Robusta 5 and Ottawa 3 varieties. It produces dwarf-type trees, with a size approximately 30–45% of that of a seedling rootstock, which in terms of vigor is comparable to M.9 or G.11.
The object possesses high resistance to fire blight, crown rot, woolly apple aphid, and tolerance to replant disease. It is characterized by excellent anchorage, high yield, winter hardiness, and the ability to reduce the risk of bitter pit development in the fruit of grafted varieties.
