The rootstock belongs to the dwarf group, with tree vigor similar to M.9. It possesses good anchorage and less brittleness of the root system compared to M.9, however, it still requires the installation of supports to hold the tree with a crop.
The plant has high resistance to fire blight, crown rot, and Fusarium rot. At the same time, the rootstock is susceptible to woolly apple aphid and sensitive to a number of latent viruses, which is why it requires the use of only virus-free scion material.
