The rootstock belongs to the Malling 9 group and provides control of tree vigor. Plants grafted onto it enter fruit bearing in the 2nd–3rd year, demonstrating increased yield regularity and improved qualitative characteristics of the fruits.
The root system of the rootstock is shallow, which is why trees require mandatory installation of supports throughout their life and are sensitive to drought. The plant poorly tolerates heavy clay or dry sandy soils without the organization of regular irrigation.
